He was predeceased by: his wife Bernice Wagner; his close friend Kathy Denneny; his parents, John Lawrence and Marguerite Isilida Wagner; and his brother John "Jackie" Wagner (late Jeanette).

He is survived by: his son Allan Thompson; and his nieces and nephews, Van Wagner, Joy Wagner and Dale Vandenbosch (Gary).
