He was predeceased by: his wife Thérèse Née Ranger; and his parents, William Proulx and Aldena Proulx. He is survived by: his children, Suzanne DeRochie (Steve), Marc (Elizabeth), Liette Deschambault (Marc), Luc (Donna), Daniel (Kristin) and Shirley Lalonde (Paul); and his siblings, Mabel Lauzon, Jean and John of Cornwall's East End.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that you write to your local Member of Parliament and support the MAID (Medical Assisted in Dying) initiative to allow for persons with dementia and Parkinson's to die with dignity.
