With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Shirley Wood (Cornwall, Ontario), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Shirley left this world on October 2, 2025 at the age of 92, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles MacDonald (Hami) and Corrine Beaudin; her sons, Michael High and Robert High (Bobbie); and her brother-in-law Raymond Brisebois.
She is survived by: her children, Louise De Stefano (Richard De Stefano, Sr.), John (Martie High) of Long Sault and Dave (Kelli-Ann Baker High) of Waterdown; her sister Eileen Brisebois (MacDonald); her grandchildren, Jessica Kimmel (De Stefano) and Michael Kimmel; her great grandchildren, Vincent, Vita, Michelle (De Stefano), Antonio, Nico, Richard De Stefano Jr. Maria (Starna) and Luciano; and her grandchildren, Kevin High, Rachel High, Wyatt Luscomb and Nikala (High).
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Lahaie & Sullivan Funeral Home (20 Seventh St W, Cornwall, ON K6J 2X7). A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Diabetes Association of Canada.
