It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William John Ellam (Cornwall, Ontario), born in Toronto, Ontario, who passed away on January 2, 2026, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Irene Vivian Crayfourd; his son Martin "Marty" Ellam (Cheryl Caldwell-Ellam); and his grandson Mark. He is survived by: his children, Patricia Ellam of Ingleside, Stephen Ellam (Lesley) of Ingleside, James "Jim" Ellam (Joan) of Osnabruck, Andre "Andy" Ellam (Heather) of Thunder Bay and Carol Ellam (late Mervin) of Dokis Reserve; his brother David Ellam (Maxine) of Greely; and his grandchildren, Rachael, Lindsay, William "Bill", Laura, Victoria, Katey, Kristen, Mitchell, Kayla and Krista. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 10th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Trinity Anglican Church (105 Second St W, Cornwall, ON K6J1G4). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 10th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
