He was predeceased by: his father Ronald Furtah; and his father-in-law Roger Flynn. He is survived by: his wife Alison; his children, Bradley Furtah (Rachel Rollings) of London, Taylor Furtah (Hayley Bowler) of Sarnia and Savanna-Rae Furtah of Sarnia; his grandsons, James Everett and Elliott Faye; his mother Margaret Furtah of Wallaceburg; his sister Anne Thompson of Wallaceburg; his mother-in-law Sandra Flynn of Port Lambton; and his siblings-in-law, Tammy Rivest (Robert) of Port Lambton, Cindy Lajoie (Claude) of Sombra and Shawn Flynn of Kelowna.

In lieu of flowers sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to the London Regional Cancer Clinic or to Childcan.
