With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Irene Lynch (Courtice, Ontario), who passed away on February 21, 2026 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Sarah Larsen and Ludvig Larsen (Louis); and her siblings, Beretta Birrell (Bill), Hilda Charlong (Earl), Elsie Larsen, Alfred Larsen (Mildred) and Earl Larsen (Lida).
She is survived by: her husband William (Bill); her children, Sidona Lynch (Al Bonigut), Barry Lynch (Martha) and Ann Lynch; her grandchildren, Jennifer Cassidy (Matt Johnstone), Jessica Kowaltschuk (Adam), Julia Lynch (Sean McKay), Stuart Lynch and Sarah Szmyr (Bryan); and her great grandchildren, Justin, Emily, Riley Lynch, Russell, Harvey Szmyr, Gavin, Kira Kowaltschuk and Noah Lynch.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 26th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Courtice Funeral Chapel (1587 Durham Regional Hwy 2, Courtice, ON L1E2R7). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 26th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Hillsdale Estates in Oshawa would be appreciated.
