She was predeceased by : her daughter Sheila James; her parents, Benjamin Stanzel and Edith Stanzel; her siblings, Beth Morris (Keith), Joyce Saunders (Mac) and Mervyn; and her brother-in-law Benjamin James.

She is survived by : her husband Bill; her children, Jennifer James (Lynn Mutton), Donald (Nancy Walker) and Glenn (Shelley); her son-in-law Wayde Preston (Lisa Byers); her grandchildren, Victoria (Ali), Ben, Patrick (Amy), Georgina (Randy) and Ellen (Dylan); her sisters, Judy Fisher (Don) and Gloria Parno (Bob); her siblings-in-law, Norma Stanzel, Jane Ann and John Chamney; and her grandson Bill.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Simcoe Hall Settlement House in Oshawa would be appreciated.
