Melvyn Anthony Fernandes Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Melvyn Anthony Fernandes (Courtice, Ontario), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 11, 2025 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Melvyn may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Melvyn touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his sister Thelma; and his mother Juliet. He is survived by: his sons, Nicholas (Carly) and Benjamin; and his grandchildren, Nathan and Mara.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Courtice Funeral Chapel (1587 Durham Regional Hwy 2, Courtice, ON L1E2R7). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Gertrude's Catholic Church (690 King St E, Oshawa, ON L1H1G5).
