William Allan Roney Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William Allan Roney (Courtice, Ontario), who passed away on January 1, 2023 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by : his wife Penny; his sons, Bradley Lawrence (Melissa), William Shane (Tuenjai "Ann") and Robert Neil Roney (Shannon); his grandchildren, William Brandon, Carter, Andrew, Mabel, Paisley, Samantha, Travis Allan and Avery; and his sister Patricia Hartley (Syd). He is also survived by nieces and nephews, extended family, and many friends.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Al's memory may be made to Diabetes Canada.

“Sending deepest condolences to Penny and family. Allan and I were stationed in Manitoba together with the RCMP. He was the detachment commander at Morris MB, which came under my supervision at the time. Al was the consummate leader, a positive role model to his peers and all who served under him. His stewardship was an example to all and it was always a delight to visit him. His memory will rest in my heart.”
