He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Alfred Purkis Sr. and Winnifred Paine; and his sister Mary. He is survived by: his sisters, Barbara and Margaret; his children, Mark (Alix), Greg (Liza), Amy and David (Laura); and his grandchildren, Nigella, Melody, Ethan, John, Avery, Zach, Mackenzie and Logan.
