With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Geraldine Mathieu Elliott of Delaware, Ontario, born in Washington, District of Columbia, who passed away on August 6, 2025 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Geraldine departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Geraldine. Though Geraldine may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her husband Owen Forbes Elliott; her parents, Robert Emmett Burney of Macon Georgia and Suzanne Mathieu of Namur Belgium; and her sister Elizabeth Suzanne Grayson (Betty Sue) of New Orleans. She is survived by: her children, Karen Suzanne Schaw (John) of Grand Rapids, MI, Robert Owen Elliott (Kim) of Bluffton, SC and Kathryn Norma Elliott of Bright's Grove, ON.; her granddaughters, Christine Schaw O'Brien (Jim) of Grand Rapids, MI. and Laura Schaw Pinter (Jeremy) of Grand Rapids, MI.; and her great grandchildren, Sean and Jamie O'Brien.
