He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, John (Kendra), Eric, Crystal and Scott; his grandchildren, Kellen and Farren; his siblings, Sharon Abel (Richard), Jo-Anne McInnis (Jim) and Patrick Ennis; his nephew Sean Abel; and his parents, Gloria and Bill (Skinney). He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.

In Lieu of flowers, donations to the Toronto Lung Transplant Program at UHN Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
