She was predeceased by : her brothers-in-law, Jerome, Gaston Geysens, Andy Nolf and Martin; and her parents, Mariette Helsen and George Helsen.

She is survived by : her husband Marcel Willy Vanhooren; her children, Dennis Vanhooren (Tyneil) and Jessica Vanhooren (Tyler); her siblings-in-law, Margaret Vanhooren, Maria, Godelieve Nolf, Willy, Susan Vanhooren and Irene Gubesch; and her aunt Angela Helsen Belgium (Luke Van Haelst). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
