He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Irwin and Dorothy Irwin (Butchart); his siblings, Steve Irwin, Paul Irwin and Sheila Irwin; his niece Vicky Irwin; and his brother-in-law Dave Gilles.
He is survived by: his wife Janet Louise Irwin (Marshall); his daughters, Melanie Wakeling and Crystal Turnbull (Brad); his grandchildren, Kayla, Case, Hunter, Jocelyn, Angelina and Ella; and his nephew Marshall.
In lieu of flowers, donations to honour his great grand-daughter, Ella, Roy wished donations be made to the Autism Ontario in his memory.
