He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Sweet and Mynnie Sweet. He is survived by: his children, Courtney Merkley (Nick) and Ashley Powley; his granddaughter Olivia Merkley; and his cousin Sylvia Baldwin.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Deseronto Royal Canadian Legion #280 (340 Main Street, Deseronto, ON K0K1X0).
Memorial donations made to the Lennox and Addington County Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
