He is survived by: his children, Marlene (Bob Godfrey), Darrin Asselstine (Melanie Peddle) and Carla Asselstine (Brian Wood); and his siblings, Doug Asselstine (late Jean Asselstine), Marie (late Carl Sinclair), Betty Lou (Alex McKenzie), Jeanette Bryanton (late Erwin Bryanton), Julie Shelley (Bob Sutherland) and Carol Asselstine. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.
