He was predeceased by: his sister Janice Cruickshank; his son Robert Cruickshank; and his parents, Gary Cruickshank and Carolyn Cruickshank. He is survived by: his wife Lisa (Patterson); his sister Julie Beunen (Rick); his children, Sarah Cruickshank (Tyler), Melissa O'Leary (James), Renee Krewenki (Andrew) and Corey Cruickshank; and his grandchildren, Ethan, Aaron, Charles, Hailey, Dallas, Alex, Sebastian and Amelia. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
