Fortunato Joseph Buttigieg Obituary

We announce the death of Fortunato Joseph Buttigieg in Douglas, Ontario, who passed away on November 2, 2026, at the age of 78. Fortunato will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by: his wife Rita; his children, Kevin (Sarah), Mary (Joe), Charlie and Manny; his grandchildren, Lucas, Brooklyn, Lincoln, Olivia, Arianna and Kaleb; his siblings, Joyce (Louis), Emmanuel (Joyce), Carmen, Joe (Dorothy) and Mary (Freddie); and his in-laws, Sam (Catherine), Mary, Chuck, Phillis and Roy. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 5th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Benner Funeral Services (1105 Benner Ave, Fort Erie, ON L2A4N8). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, November 6th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Michaels Catholic Church (310 Central Ave, Fort Erie, ON L2A3T3). A burial will be held on Friday, November 6th 2026 from 12:15 PM to 12:40 PM.
