He was predeceased by: his son William "Billy" Shaver (Tanya); his grandchildren, Sarah (Steven) and Dustin; his parents, William Shaver and Marie Shaver; and his siblings, Ruth (Don) and Joseph.

He is survived by: his wife Juanita Shaver; his daughter Tiffany Landry (Chris); his grandchildren, Cody (Quiana), Ashley (Myles), Ashton (Vicki), Braxton (Nick), Mercedes, Ryan and Ryleen; and his brother Larry (Jackie). He is also survived by many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
