With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gerrit Koobs of Drayton, Ontario, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 28, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his daughter Janet Koobs; and his siblings, Willemien, Joke, Jan and Kloeze.
He is survived by: his wife Trudy (Hesselink); his children, John, Nancy Koobs of Palmerston, Joyce, Lonnie Craig of Sechelt, B. C. and Garry Koobs of Palmerston; his grandchildren, Christina, Ken Labbe, Peter, Angela Koobs, Gregory, Alexandra Koobs, Michelle, Jarid Tanner, Sherry Farnese-Jonkman, Kristen, Sukh Sandhu, Brandy James, Gracie Jo, Silas, Levi, Jude, Katie, Ezra, Daniel, Emmanuel, Eden, Jonas, Gideon, Elizabeth, Mackenzie, Payton, Bryce, Kingston and Bryer; his sister Annie; and his siblings-in-law, Bert and Mary Hesselink. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews and friends.
As expressions of sympathy donations to Drayton Reformed Church or Palmerston Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
