Delia leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Delia’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. Though she is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support she offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Delia will carry forward her memory in their hearts.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Josephus Carter and Marion Evadne Richardson; her spouse Orion Shreve; and her siblings, Jeanne Highgate and Dr. George Carter.
She is survived by: her children, Anita Holmes of Dresden and Michael Holmes of North Carolina; her grandchildren, Natalie Nemeth, Lucas Nemeth (Becky), Emma Holmes and Evan Holmes; and her brother Roger Carter (Shirley). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Badder Funeral Home & Reception Centre (679 North St, Dresden, ON N0P1M0). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
