With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joanne Helen DeVries (Dresden, Ontario), who passed away on July 27, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Harry Devries; her parents, Bert Brouwer and Henny Brouwer; her siblings, Jim, Jannie and Ann; her sister-in-law Teny; and her siblings, Wilma, Elsie and Arnold Devries (Gertie).
She is survived by: her children, Jim, Henrietta DeVries, Brian DeVries, Julie, Albert Dreise, Stuart, Beverley DeVries, Marcia and David Streefkerk; her grandchildren, Trevor, Olivia, Sophia, Renee (Aaron), Joshua (Kadianne), Heather, Ryan (Gillian), Seth, Luke, Wesley, Annika and Julianna; her brothers, Henry Brouwer (Jane), John Brouwer (Kathy) and Rhea Van Breda (late Jake); her siblings-in-law, Jim Dieleman and Helen Brouwer; and her siblings, Andrew Veenstra, Frans Vriesema, Margaret Vanderheide (late Frank), Elco Wiersma, Alice Postma (late Fred), Christina Kloostra (late Bill), Charlie DeVries (late Jennie) and Janet Fischer (late John).
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Badder Funeral Home & Reception Centre (679 North St, Dresden, ON N0P1M0). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Dresden Community Church (29043 Community Rd, Dresden, ON N0P1M0).
In lieu of flowers donations to the Wallaceburg Christian School can be made to Wallaceburg Christian School (c/o 693 Albert St, Wallaceburg, ON N8A 1Y8) would be appreciated.
