She was predeceased by : her parents, Elva Aleta (Nee Ecker) and Rev. William Arthur Coates; her husband John Andrew Shaw of Dresden; her grandson James Shaw; and her sister Helen G. Purnell.

She is survived by : her sons, Paul Shaw (Allison) of Dresden and Philip J. Shaw (Cindy) of Dresden; her grandchildren, Adam Shaw, Alexis Shaw, Holly Shaw, Sasha Erickson (Brock) and Annalise "Annie" Shaw; and her great grandchildren, Grainger and Delilah Erickson. She is also survived by several brothers/sisters-in-laws, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

Proof of 2 vaccinations and identification are required to enter the funeral home for visitation or the funeral service The Bereavement Authority of Ontario has mandated that everyone attending must wear a mask.
