We bid farewell to Bob Helmer of Duart, Ontario, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on July 5, 2025. Bob touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Tom Helmer and Norma Helmer; and his siblings, Terry and Carolyne. He is survived by: his wife Maxine Helmer; his children, Steve Helmer (Carrie) and Kim Galbraith (Kevin); his grandchildren, Austin Galbraith (Chelsea), Sarah Adams, Stacie Galbraith and Katie Helmer; his great grandchild Reid Galbraith; and his siblings, Keith, Murray, Dennis, Cheryl Ronyson (Alex) and Kevin (Barb). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, July 7th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Tuesday, July 8th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the McKinlay Funeral Home (76 Main St E, Ridgetown, ON N0P2C0). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, July 8th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, July 8th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:15 PM at the Duart Cemetery.
