He was predeceased by : his wife Joan Breckles; his father Benjamin; and his siblings, Dr. Douglas, Frances (Zigmund Parkin), Ruth (John Hughes), Kenneth (Nora Sheppard), Helen (Fulvio Michelazzi), Madlyn (Leslie Bradley) and Doreen Johnson.

He is survived by : his child Tracey (John Brake); and his grandchildren, Sarah, Kathryn and Mikayla.
