He is survived by : his mother Ester; his sister Kimberley McClevis (Robert); his close friend Laurie Volk; his daughters, Caitlin Pezzaniti (Steven) and Aubrey Crompton (Joseph); and his grandchildren, Carter, Delia, Jacob, Wyatt and Lucas.

“I worked with Kirk in the Mike Lehman Band in the late 70’s early 80’s. He was a very talented guitarist and vocalist and one of the kindest men I knew. This is very sad news to hear of his passing. The last time I saw him was with his lovely partner Laurie. They seemed so happy together and seeing my long time friend Kirk, flooded my heart with memories of time gone by and times we spent together living on the road entertaining. Rest Peacefully friend.
