Becky Mashinter wrote a sympathy message

“I will always be thankful that I had the privilege of knowing Dr Smith. She was our doctor for 20 years. But there were times when she felt more like a friend. Dr Smith was both kind and honest. I will always be grateful for the care she gave our son, Ben. She sat with him when he passed away. That was a gift above and beyond the ordinary. My sincerest sympathy to Dr Scalon and your family. Praying your grief will be gentle and kind.”
