He was predeceased by: his parents, Berend Wagter and Wilhelmina Wagter; and his parents-in-law, Pieter and Adrianna Ipema. He is survived by: his wife Regina; his children, Brian (Brenda), Audrey, Douglas (Patricia), Michael (Tammy) and Christina (Peter); his grandchildren, Jordan (Stephanie), Derek, Sarah (Jake), Olivia, Hilary, Austin, Madison, Casey, Naomi, Bradley, Nathan, Rachel, Ava and Gerrit; his great grandchildren, Aryn, Camren, Grace, Christian and Jamie; his siblings, Margaret (Bob), Herman (Josie) and Ben (Cathie); and his siblings-in-law, Wilma, Margaret (Fred), Bob (Karen), Peter (Isabelle), Frans (Wilma) and Art.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ballard Minor Funeral Home (315 Broad St E, Dunnville, ON N1A1G4). A burial will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Woodlawn Cemetery - Haldimand County. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Bethel Christian Reformed Church (17 Robinson Rd, Dunnville, ON N1A2W1).
