We are sad to announce that on May 6, 2022, Barry McCormick (Durham, Ontario) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Vincent and Marie; and his siblings, James, Hugh, Terry, Rita, Kathleen and Peter.

He is survived by : his wife Phyllis McCormick; his children, Shannon (Mike Seifried), Meghan (Shawn Coulter), Rachel (Lee Watson), Tiffany (Nicholas Kelly), Emily (Howard Mattis) and Jonathon (Lindsay); his grandchildren, Daniel, Madeline, Abbigail, Jeremy, Ainsley, Zoe, Collin, Everly, Logan, Lincoln, Theodore, Zarah, Zavian, Kayden, Kiyran and Mariah; and his siblings, Rose, William, Marilyn, Chris and Margaret. He is also survived by brothers and sisters-in-law.

Visitation will be held at the McCulloch-Watson Funeral Home, Durham on Tuesday, May 10th from 5 – 9 p. m., where a vigil prayer service will be held at 8:45 p. m. Masks are recommended at the visitation, and we encourage you to confirm your attendance.

As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society, The Society of Saint Vincent de Paul or The Salvation Army would be appreciated by the family.

“Barry was an amazing man who told many stories (especially when we were supposed to be working) that were funny and engaging - I couldn't wait for him to come in to supply!! I have had the opportunity to know many of you daughters and I think you all are a great testimony to the legacy of your dad in who you are and how you treat others.
