She was predeceased by: her husband Horst Jaekel; her brother Elwin Eckhardt; her parents, Oskar Schuett and Anna Schuett; and her brother Alfred Schuett.
She is survived by: her children, Esther (Steve Torry) and Kevin Jaekel (Veronica); her grandsons, Adam Torry, Bryce Jaekel (Erica) and Brandon Jaekel (Hailey); her sister Anita; her sister-in-law Helga Schnute; and her pet Ellie.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM at 0 available Close. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the McCulloch-Watson Funeral Home (166 Bruce St N, Durham, ON N0G1R0).
