He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Fischer and Violet Fischer; his son Mark; his grandson Austin Holley; his brother Bryan Fischer; and his brothers-in-law, Jim Henning and Robert Tone.
He is survived by: his wife Denise; his children, Lori (Steve Holley), Teri Fischer (Scott Lawlor), Chris Fischer (Amy) and Craig Fischer (Pamela); his grandchildren, Taylor (Jay), Dylan, Ryan, Macy, Hailey, Charlie, Lily, Sarah (Zach), Charlotte and Ben; his siblings, Sheila, Jim Meyer and Eunice Henning; and his siblings-in-law, Deborah Fischer, Barb Tone, Bryan, Jean Tone, Kevin, Val Tone, Deanna, Ray Lewis and Mary Jo Tone.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the McCulloch-Watson Funeral Home (166 Bruce St N, Durham, ON N0G 1R0). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church (552 Louisa St, Ayton, ON N0G1C0).
As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Grey Bruce Highlanders - U16AAA (if paying by cheque, please have cheque payable to "Grey Bruce Highlanders 2010 and in memo line have U16AAA), Stratford Aces Hockey – U18AA (if paying by cheque, please have cheque payable to "Stratford Aces Hockey" and in memo line U18AA), or Walkerton Minor Hockey would be appreciated by the family.
