We are sad to announce that on May 2, 2026 we had to say goodbye to Glenna Monk of Durham, Ontario. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Robert "Bob" Monk; her grandson Richard Monk; her parents, Lawson Hopkins and Hazel Hopkins; and her siblings, Royden, Ken, Don, Leonard Hopkins, Marjorie Caswell and Joy Talbot.
She is survived by: her children, Lorri Monk of Walkerton, Steve Monk (Julie) of Durham and Vicki (Randy McNabb) of Durham; her grandchildren, Jillian, Ryan Reece, Rob Monk, Nicole Roychell, Amanda Monk, Chris Shannon, Kyle, Jessica McNabb, Chantelle, Brandon Galloway, Danielle McNabb, Mitchell McNabb and Chelsea Sloan; and her sister Marilyn (Archie Lindsay). She is also survived by her 12 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 7th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, May 8th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM. A celebration of life was held on Friday, May 8th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Durham Legion (271 Bruce St N, Durham, ON N0G1R0).
As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Durham Presbyterian Church (general fund) would be appreciated by the family.
