He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald McEwen and Margaret McEwen; his son Stewart; and his siblings, Gerry McEwen, Jack McEwen and Kenny McEwen.
He is survived by: his wife Gwen McEwen; his children, Glenda Gould (Mark) of Perth, Gloria Bursey (Allen) of Eldorado, Jonathan McEwen (Rhonda) of Napanee, Tim McEwen (Tammy) of Utah and Ben McEwen of Eldorado; and his siblings, Hugh McEwen (Shirley), Barb Munro (late Doug), Cathy Parks (Gord) and Ida Laing (Richard). He is also survived by his twenty-three grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
