He is survived by: his spouse Gail Summers (Martin); his daughters, Shelley Nichols (Parrish) of Lansdowne and Vicki Serson (Sean Dougherty) of Westport; and his siblings, Gerald Summers (late Diana), Lila Welch (late Arnold) of Kingston and Arnold Summers (Eleanor) of Elgin. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
