She was predeceased by: her siblings, Allan "Pep" Burt (Gladys) and Jean Dwyre (John). She is survived by: her children, Mary Lou Shanks (John Wawrow) of Buffalo and Michael Shanks of Elgin; her grandson Rory; and her siblings-in-law, Ruth Galway of Lyndhurst and Wilbert Shanks of Elgin. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations made to the R.C.L. Branch # 231, Portland, the Gananoque & District Humane Society or Seeley's Bay United Church would be appreciated by the family.
