She was predeceased by: her husband Archie Rice; and her sister Norma Cooper. She is survived by: her children, Irene Rice of Ottawa, Leo Rice of Gracefield, PQ, Fred Rice (Suzanne) of Rockland and Nancy Rice (Patrick Cyr) of Gracefield, PQ.; her siblings, Ross Hawkins (Diane Warren) of Elgin, Carol Haapala (Bob) of Elgin and Marty Hawkins (Janet Mulville) of Westport; her grandchildren, Marc, Sophie, Kyle, Savana (Frank) and Jessica; and her great grandchildren, Maisie and Archer. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Elgin Lions Club or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
