It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joan McPhail of Elgin, Ontario, born in Saint-Thomas, Ontario, who passed away on March 21, 2023, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Lloyd Butler and Nellie Butler; her daughter Marie; her son-in-law Jason; her siblings, Ken, Rena, Don and James; and her brother-in-law Duncan (Liz).

She is survived by : her husband Donald McPhail; her son Cameron (Lucie); her grandchildren, Caitlin Phillips, Neil (Aleria) and Melissa (Jayden); and her sisters-in-law, Norma and Jeanette (Herb). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews.

Those who wish may make donations in Joan's honor to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
