It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Josephine (Joey) Dwyre of Elgin, Ontario, who passed away on March 22, 2024, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her husband Ed Dwyre; her sons, Chris and Steve Dwyre; and her grandchildren, Marcus and Leslie.

She is survived by : her children, Ted (Marsha), Linda Deveaux (Don Hurd), Joe Dwyre (Donna), Anne Dwyre (Dave Webber), Margie LeGree, Cathy Ramroop (Ramesh), Lise Dwyre and Susie Sly (Mark); her daughter-in-law Susan Dwyre; and her siblings, Anne, Marcella, Leona, Marion, Trudy, Teresa, Genna, Rita, Hugh, Frank and Bill. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society, St. Columbanus Cemetery or the Elgin & Area Heritage Society would be appreciated by the family.
