He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Gail Simpson (Ubdegrove); his parents, Mildred Simpson and Oscar Simpson; his children, Shannon Peeling (Michael) of Brantford and Stacey Smith (Jeremy) of Ottawa; and his siblings, Herb Simpson (Jane) of Elgin and Lorrie Douthwright (Mark) of Ottawa. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
