It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Susan Kitson (Elgin, Ontario), who passed away on November 19, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Marion Kitson (Chant) and George Kitson; and her brother Alfred Kitson. She is survived by: her siblings, Vera Kitson of Brockville, Lois Secord (late Roy) of Kingston, Veita Hrynczak (Frank) of Sutton West, Elton Kitson (Alanna) of Stratford, Jane Chant (Neil) of Kingston and Mary Chant (Ron) of Portland; and her nephews, Scott, Michael, Chris, John, Jason, Derek (Nicole), Lesley, Justin (Jessica) and Josh.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 28th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Scotland Funeral Home (27 County Rd 8, Elgin, ON K0G1E0). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the InThe Highway Pentecostal Church (800 Stewart Blvd, Brockville, ON K6V7H2).
As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations made to the Highway Pentecostal Church or Harlem Cemetery would be appreciated.
