He was predeceased by: his wife Caroline Lanning; his nephew Scott; and his parents, Rutherford Lanning and Evelyn Lanning (Brown). He is survived by: his children, Verlin Lanning Jr., Lisa Streib (Dale) and Jeffrey Lanning; his friend Judy Harvey; his grandchild Carlie; his sibling Terry Lanning (Evelyn); his nephew Steven; his cousin Evan Nelson (Brenda); and also, Charlene Reynolds (David), Janis Burgess (Pete Fedorko Jr.), Jason, Tanya, Bonnie Luchtmeijer (Bill), Nola Young, Richard Lanning (Noreen), Tom Lanning (Diane) and Catherine Moore (Russ).
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 14th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Williams Funeral Home (45 Elgin St, St Thomas, ON N5R3L9). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
