He was predeceased by: his parents, Mijo Tomic and Iva Tomic; and his siblings, Stojka, Mirko and Stanko.
He is survived by: his wife Rose Anne Tomic; his daughters, Sonja Banic (Ante), Sabina Turcic (Davor) and Eva Morano (Joey); his grandchildren, Jakob, Stephen, Lara, Ella, Veronika, Lia, Cristian and Mila; his great grandchildren, Oriana and Cecilia; and his brother Srecko (Ivanka). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, July 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Ste. Bernadette Parish (45 Spruce Ave, Elliot Lake, ON P5A 2B7).
Rudi was a distinguished journalist, editor, and poet leaving behind a legacy of profound contributions to the fields of journalism and Croatian cultural and political discourse.
