He was predeceased by: his wife Bernice Fortney (Dirstein); his sister Joan Keiffer (Roger); and his parents, Leander Fortney and Marie Fortney (Montag). He is survived by: his daughters, Georgina Barlow (Don), Jo-Anne Cook (Glen) of Williamsford and Suzette Fortney of Waterloo; his close friend Ruth Seifried; his grandchildren, Brandon Barlow (Gillian), Jessica Kittel (Ethan), Bradley Cook (Robin McGuire) and Brianna Cook (Darren King); his great grandchildren, Anastasia, Maeve, Ella, Cecilia, Briar, Sadie and Hugh; and his siblings, Robert Fortney of Hamilton, Jeanette Williams (Francis) of Kitchener, Jackie McBurney (Doug) of Wingham, Leona Weishar (Rick) of Listowel and Lee Fortney (Teresa) of Kitchener. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
