He was predeceased by: his parents, Oren Hopkins and Deanna Hopkins; and his father-in-law Don Walton. He is survived by: his wife Marian; his children, Eric Hopkins (Courtney), Christopher Hopkins (Kali) and Leanne (Luke Saare); his grandchildren, Macie, Lilah, Beckham, Nash, Navy and Cooper; his siblings, Cheryl, Ken Nelson, Susan Spielmacher, Darryl and Kim Hopkins; his mother-in-law Marilyn Walton; and his siblings-in-law, David Walton, Lisa Steckly, Susan and Stephen Schenk. He is also survived by his aunts, his nieces and nephews, many cousins, friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 26th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the McCulloch-Watson Funeral Home (166 Bruce St N, Durham, ON N0G1R0). A celebration of life will be held on Monday, October 27th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Durham Community Centre (451 Saddler St W, Durham, ON N0G1R0).
As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Owen Sound Hospital Foundation, West Grey Rampage Lacrosse or Saugeen Valley Steelheads Minor Hockey would be appreciated.
