He was loved and cherished by many people including: his child Eddie Vandervelde; his wife Wilma; his children, Glen, Nancy, Ron, Mary, Paul, Michelle and James Farnsworth; his grandchildren, Jeremy, Joanne, Tiffany, Aryen Bosma, Stephanie, Dylan Hamming, Christa, Simon Ardelean, Matthew, Anneke, Esther, Justin, Dani, Rachel, Candace, Amber and Elizabeth; and his great grandchildren, Riley, Scarlett, Tanner, Caleb, Blakely, Raylan, Harley, Austin, Elijah, Gideon and Evan. He was also cherished by siblings, in-laws and nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 12th 2026 from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM at the Elora Canadian Reformed Church (6674 County Road 7, Elora, ON N0B1S0). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, May 13th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens (700 Chapel Hill Rd, Stoney Creek, ON L8J0B5). A memorial service was held on Wednesday, May 13th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the Elora Canadian Reformed Church (6674 Wellington Rd 7, Centre Wellington, ON N0B1S0).
