He is survived by : his wife Patricia (Driscoll); his sons, Stewart (Joanne) of Guelph and Ken (Carol-Ann) of Alma; his grandchildren, Ben (Katie), Lauren, Matthew (Claire) and Julia (Mike); and his great grandchildren, Ellen, Owen and Mae.

“I was just double-checking the time of today's visitation as I planned to leave shortly (6:00), only to discover that the 6:00-9:00 p.m. visitation was Friday, not Saturday. I felt terrible to discover this as I wanted to see the family and express our condolences. George was a wonderful neighbour, always quick to help out, and it was a comfort to know that Pat and George were just across the road. Please accept our apologies for not being at the visitation.
