She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Matthews and Mary Matthews. She is survived by: her husband John Bird; and her sons, Steve and Jeff. She is also survived by grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 6th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Hope Springs United Church (75 Geddes St, Elora, ON N0B1S0). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 6th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, January 6th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 2:15 PM at the Elora Municipal Cemetery (365 Wellington Rd 7, Elora, ON N0B1S0).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hope Springs United Church in Gloria's memory, honouring the community that meant so much to her.
