It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gordon Spiesz (Espanola, Ontario), born in Hanover, Ontario, who passed away on February 20, 2026, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lourdes McGirr (Spiesz) and Jack; and his brother John Henry. He is survived by: his wife Kirsten Basser; his children, Kara Sue (Rick), Randy, Jack and Chris (Erin); and his siblings, Durene and David.
