He was predeceased by: his father Bill Hedges; and his mother-in-law Penny Quick. He is survived by: his wife Julie Hedges (Quick); his children, Shelby Wilson (Brad) and Collin Hedges (Hailey); his grandchildren, Benjamin, Daniel, Madison Hedges and Leah Wilson; his mother Gayle Hedges; his siblings, Darryl (Carrie), Gerry (Cathie), Kevin (Lori) and Ryanne (Steve); his father-in-law Hal Quick; and his close friends, Keith and Heidi. He is also survived by his aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Derek may be made to his grandchildren's education fund at the Libro Bank Branch in Harrow (left in trust to Julie Hedges, please go to the bank branch directly to leave donations).
