She was predeceased by: her husband Anibal Mendes; her sisters, Maria Vieiria (Tony) and Natvidade (Antonio Carreira); and her brothers-in-law, Antonio, Jose and Manuel Mendes.
She is survived by: her sibling-in-law Conceicao Mendes; her daughters, Cindy (Tony Avelar) and Molly Mendes; her son-in-law Carlos Teves Jr. Dear; her daughter Zenaida Azevedo; her grandchildren, Cynthia, Robbie Klie, Michael, Jen Avelar, Nicholas Teves, Ryan, Teila Teves, Karly and Matt McKeen; and her great grandchildren, Channing, Kellan Avelar, Leah, Joey Teves, Charlie, Baby McKeen, Brodie and Angie Klie. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 18th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Gerald A. Smith Funeral Home (197 King St W, Harrow, ON N0R1G0). A prayer was held on Tuesday, November 18th 2025 at 6:30 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 19th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the St. Anthony's of Padua Church (120 Munger St W, Harrow, ON N0R1G0). A burial will be held on Wednesday, November 19th 2025 at the Colchester Memorial Cemetery.
